The Evolution of Wedding Photography

Probably, more than anything else, the introduction of the digital camera has changed the way we approach not only wedding photography, but also the way we present our albums to the bride; traditional or designed.

In the mid 1800's, wedding photography was restricted to the studio. As technology improved and cameras got smaller, the concept of wedding candids began to take hold.

After World War II, the idea of capturing the "event" itself was born, and as cameras got smaller, from the press camera, to the medium format camera, to the 35mm and now the digital camera, various photographic styles began to emerge.

  Making Money With Digital Photography and Live Events

A few years ago I became interested in digital photography, mainly for web publishing and personal reasons. You know, how nice is it now to NOT have to deal with film, scanning pictures, and the costs of developing all of those "not great" photos that you didn't know were so bad until you paid to have them developed!

So, at the time I got my first digital camera a friend of mine was playing in a rock band, and needed pictures for their web pages and promotional printings and ads. When I first began to do their photography, I had NO IDEA what it all would lead to... and now I will reveal to you someof the MANY ways to make money, part-time, with your love for photography!

Are Your Charging for the Wrong Thing as a Professional Photographer?

With the introduction of digital photography, the world of professional photography is changing rapidly. It's becoming more difficult to make money from selling photos, but that doesn't mean that you should close up shop and find a new profession. You just have to change some of the rules and reposition your method of making money.

From my experience in consulting and presenting workshops and programs for photographers, most are charging for the wrong thing and need to make some simple, yet dramatic changes to continue to excel.
